There may come a time that, for some reason or another, you need to do a screen print or screen capture of your iPhone or iPad.  You know, when you want to gloat to someone about your score on a certain game, capture the screen and email it!  Or, if you are having problems with an app, you can do a screen capture of the problem for the support group.  Regardless of what you need it for, it is very simple.

Directions:
  • Hold the iPhone or iPad to face you.
  • Make sure you have the screen up that you want to capture.
  • As you hold the home button down, click the sleep button on top like you were taking a picture.

Once you click the home button, you’ll see your screen flash white and you will hear a camera snapshot sound from your phone.  That’s it!  To email or text that picture to someone, just go to your camera roll, select and send.

Many of the pictures that I post on this blog are taken using the screen capture method posted above.  It is the easiest way to show the application and options available.
